Solar energy included: Norbert Krein GmbH from Völkingen relies on the cantilever racks / cantilever racks of ELVEDI GmbH to build their warehouse. The medium-sized roofing mastermaker is thus creating an optimal solution for the storage of their materials: profiles, boards and all other parts are securely placed in the 22-meter-long series of shelves. At the same time, Krein installed solar cells on the roofing system to produce solar energy.

In recent years, Krein has expanded its range of solar photovoltaic installations. Krein needed a new, open warehouse for the work materials and building materials. In addition to the storage capacity, the load bearing capacity of the freestanding racks was an important criterion. In addition to the load of the stored building materials, the shelves carry the roof construction as well as the solar cells installed thereon. "The roofing mastery relies on solar energy and was therefore dependent on stable and reliable shelves," explains Roland Ruf, responsible project manager at ELVEDI GmbH. The new warehouse is based on the ELVEDI cantilever racks / cantilever rack type HRZ. In the 4 m, 4.5 m and 5 m high shelves, materials of all sizes can be accommodated. The gradient for the hall roof also results from the different heights. The useful depth is 1,100 mm. The trawls have a carrying capacity of 770 kg each. When fully utilized, the shelves cover up to 300 t.
